8 week Level 2 Meditation Class

Now that you have learned the basics of the Unified Mindfulness system, in this next class, we work on taking you deeper into your practice to help establish it as a foundation for happiness and fulfillment in your life.

A central theme of the course will be resilience, and how a meditation practice can support a balanced and happy life even during times of continuous change and uncertainty.  Specifically, we will look at these dimensions of resilience:

  1. How to remain grounded in your practice regardless of what life throws at you

  2. Being open to new ways of doing things

  3. Finding fulfillment during uncertain times

We learned a number of meditation techniques in the Intro class, and we will be focussing primarily on working with the same set of techniques, but learning subtleties, strategies and tools to use them to help work through challenging situations and enjoy pleasant ones even more. We will also learn some new ways of achieving similar states (including variations on Feel Good).

The class will have two 4-week modules:

Part 1 - Remain Grounded in your practice when encountering challenges

This module will focus on the core meditation techniques such as Feel Rest and See, Hear Feel, using them to work with challenges, and learning strategies to support us in daily life.

Part 2 - Notice and work with increasingly subtler aspects of your experience

This module will involve some of the more subtle meditation techniques such as Flow and Feel Good, how to develop a more sustained connection with them, and how these can aid our goals of resilience.

Timing

Classes will be Wednesdays from 8am - 9am starting on May 24th.  

Cost

The cost is $20 per class, so $160 for the entire course, paid before the first class.  I will not turn anyone away due to lack of funds, so if this is an issue for you, please reach out.
